In recent time, terrorism and acts of terrorism have been a major issue on the global news stage. The entire world has been thrown into a dance which tune is unknown. Casualties of every sort are being born by the day and the perpetrators of untimely mayhem around the world are on the increase. It has gotten to the point where every neighbour is a suspect as fear and uncertainties have become the closest ally of global residents.
From Africa to America through Europe, Asia and Australia, the story is the same. This is even now made more palpable by the coverage given to the recent multiple terrorists attack on Paris. Days after, there was an onslaught on two northern states of Nigeria. And in moments of trying to understand the relationship between these cross continental attacks, Mali played host to a similar terror. In all of these, human and collateral damages are best imagined. The issue has actually become where and when next? This is the world that the western nations in their wisdom have gradually built. And now, they are more confused than the third world nations that majorly play host to these terrors.
It is essential to understand that the last three decades were greatly dedicated to impregnating what has today been given birth to as terrorism in the nature it is now known. First, one must observe that the deceitful wickedness of invading Iraq in the pretence of recovering weapons of mass destruction was going to have a rebounding effect. Secondly, the connivance to unleash terror and instability in Libya was going to create a fatal reward. Thirdly, the multiple standards of dealing with the Palestinians/Israel agitations on West Bank and the Gaza strip was going to detonate a terror induced sympathy. Fourthly, the unfaithfulness to the Syria’s unrest was going to lead the world beyond what is already known today as terrorism as the collective effect of these actions have led to a dangerous and uncontrollable migration from these troubled regions to Europe. Many of the migrants are sure to have links with terrorists and their movement into Europe is a direct invitation of lizards into the room with ant ridden fagots. In all these and more, America and Europe are guilty of craftiness, wickedness and short-sightedness. And their role in Iraq, Libya, Syria, Israel and Palestine is the major factor to today’s imperceptible 3rd world war.
However, it is essential to understand that almost all the nations mentioned above are Muslim nations. And the covering towers of the terrorists’ sects have been arguments in defence of Islam. It presupposes that the leaders, sponsors, facilitators and executors of the intelligence of the sects have devilishly preyed on the shallow mindedness of young Islamic minds in reference to the multiple standards of the West in dealing with matters relating to different demography across the world. That is also why the death of over 15,000 Nigerians by Boko Haram in the last 7 years is worth less coverage, attention and reaction if compared to that of less than 150 ISIS perpetuated deaths in France. It is also why the regular onslaughts of Al shaabab in Kenya is never a topical news. That of the Libyans, Afghans, Syrians, Iraqis etc. are just normal and business must remain as usual.
These references in line with the role of the West juxtaposed against the backdrop of what the Koran prescribes against acts of oppression quickly draw some terror induced sympathy by those who are converted to embark on suicide missions. More than that, the West have manipulated the world to the extent of creating mush poverty in third world countries that shallow and idle Islamic minds are quick to find expression in becoming jihadists for some stipends as well as the aforementioned reasons of oppression by the West. Sadly, it is unknown to those who unleash these carefully orchestrated mayhems across the world that their sponsors and leaders are businessmen who are profiting from the instabilities. And it has been alleged that some of the western nations are the major benefactors as they supply the arms and ammunition to the terrorists directly and indirectly.
It is now very important to draw lessons from what recently happened in France. By the Paris attack, it is arguable that the intelligence networks of the terrorist’s sects have reached an advanced stage. And the world must now braze up for what is envisioned to be a one day of global attack on all major western cities and other parts of the world at the same time.
Therefore, if this war is to be worn, the West must come out clean and transparent. They must imbibe the spirit of equity in dealing with issues relating to nations and human beings of this world. They must change their strategies because the most difficult fight is a fight against anyone who is resigned to death. And the tens of thousands of credulous jihadists across the world have resigned to fate by death. Their leaders and masterminds are doing better job than the western leaders. To this end, the western leaders are advised to look for the eye of the animal in its head because the warm that eats the cola nut reside inside the cola nut. In doing this, the west must now raise a counter Islamic army that shall be armed with counter information on the true position of Islam on those issues being exploited by the leaders and sponsors of the jihadists.
High media attention is required for the true message to get to the unsuspecting and undecided young minds. These armies of information must be strategized, deployed and targeted to reach all major Islamic hinterlands. Let all honest Imams be part of the process. As a matter of fact, let Muslims be actively involved in this strategic fight as resources should be made available for propaganda, information and intelligence. In no time, some helpful information necessary for combating the menace would be available. Meanwhile, inter-continental vigilance and intelligence sharing must be justifiably and honestly harnessed.
